Planos Film Festival 2023

Planos – Tomar International Short Film Festival is a cultural event that was born in 2016 from the desire of two Producers/Directors to decentralize the current cinematographic panorama of Portugal, placing it in a city in the interior of the country, known for its long and fruitful cinematic history, which began with the first Cinema exhibition in 1901.

His primary purpose is to showcase, not only to Tomar townsfolk, but to all national and international spectators, a selection as eclectic as possible, never compromising on the quality of its proposals. 

Working with AI as a Tool

For the visual identity of the 2023 edition of Planos, I worked with AI prompts to reinterpret some areas of film negative pictures. I used this technique back and forward mixing digital collage and AI collage, creating an interaction of man and machine with some interesting results. Each resulting image was later paced on a grid thus creating the basis for the composition of the various applications for the festival.
